Overview
GrahamThompson (GT) has been one of the premier law firms in The Bahamas for 75 years. We are known for the quality of our attorneys and a history of providing thoughtful, strategic advice to our clients. Our attorneys are recognised for their expertise and their commitment to finding solutions that work.
Our Practice
We have three main practice areas, with wide-ranging specialties. Property, Corporate and Financial and Dispute Resolution. Each area is highly regarded both domestically and internationally.
Our reach, expansive range of services and expertise allow us to partner with our clients in ways that transcend the traditional client-attorney relationship. We focus on providing solutions that help our clients address their most challenging legal issues, most significant business transactions and most critical disputes.
Services
Our practice areas are supported by GTC Corporate Services Ltd, a regulated corporate and administrative provider, and our capacity to provide comprehensive title insurance policies with an international insurer.
Competitively Global
We have a wide range of international relationships that allows us to provide timely, integrated, in-depth advice to clients across numerous jurisdictions.
GrahamThompson is consistently ranked as a top-tier law firm for Chambers and Partners in both Global and High Net Worth Guides and by IFLR1000 as a leading law firm in the corporate and financial legal sectors in Latin America and the Caribbean.
A Tradition of Public Service
Central to our ethos is the role that the firm has played in the development of The Bahamas. GT Partners are widely known for their contributions to the development of The Bahamas, through their participation in political, judicial and public service sectors.
Our Partners have served as Attorneys-General, Chief Justice, Justices of the Supreme Court and Court of Appeal, Chair of the Judicial Review Commission, Senators and Cabinet Ministers.
GrahamThompson has contributed significantly to legislative and regulatory framework of The Bahamas, notably in the financial services sector, including the trust, corporate, data protection, privacy and fintech industries.
Philanthropy
GrahamThompson rounds out its legacy of public service with community-based giving. While there are initiatives and causes that the firm supports on a year-round basis, GrahamThompson is intentional in identifying programmes that support youth in areas of education and sports development. This is where the firm believes that its giving can have the greatest impact.
