Chia-yi Chua is a Consultant Counsel and lead advisor in the establishment of the Firm's Tax Practice.
Chia-yi's practice focuses on complex tax litigation and tax disputes. He provides solution-focused advice that is strategic and transformative.
Chia-yi has extensive experience in Canadian commerce and industry, having acted for corporate taxpayers across some of Canada's most important sectors; including the financial services, telecommunications, resource, hospitality and transportation sectors. He has appeared for clients at all levels in the Canadian court system, including the Supreme Court of Canada.
Chia-yi has been consistently ranked as a top practitioner by market leading international ranking agencies, including Chambers and Partners, the Legal 500 and the International Tax Review (ITR).
