Dwayne adopts a practical approach to law, prioritizing the client's overall goals above technical details and strategies. He believes that solutions should be clear, understandable, sustainable, and ultimately benefiting the client he represents.   His practice involves contentious matters including construction contracts& disputes, tax appeals, real estate (including title/tax/landlord & tenant), fraud and white-collar crime, contentious insurance and personal injury and employment and labour matters including trade union issues and public law/judicial review matters.

Recent engagements include:

• Providing representation to clients in multi-million-dollar tax controversies and litigation.
• Providing representation to a major oil trans-shipment facility in numerous claims brought against it for environmental pollution.
• Appearing as co-counsel in successfully representing an industrial magnate in an appeal to the Judicial Committee of the Privy Council, where breach of the client's copyrights was upheld by the Board.
• Appearing as co-counsel in successfully defending against a multi-million-dollar claim related to alleged defects in the construction of a water feature at a major resort.
• Lead counsel in a major arbitration in which claimant's claim for damages in excess of $3 million dollars was significantly reduced to mid six figures.
