Michela Barnett-Ellis is a Partner in the firm's Dispute Resolution Practice.

Michela's practice focuses primarily on asset and debt recovery division on behalf of large domestic and international banks and security enforcement in the real estate and banking sectors and contentious land and commercial disputes.

In addition, Michela focuses on family matters including divorce and matrimonial disputes, adoptions and other child related matters.

Recent engagements include:

• Successfully defending multinational airline's right to terminate an employee for inappropriate behaviour in the workplace.
• Successfully defending a local bank in an application by a grantor to evade his obligations under a guarantee.
• Successfully representing a multinational bank in contentious proceedings for the recovery of debt and defending the bank against claims of negligence.
• Representing a judicial trustee in highly contentious probate proceedings
• Representing a land-owner in a boundary dispute involving the interpretation of property descriptions contained in the preceding documents of title
