Since 1984, Hunton Andrews Kurth LLP has maintained an office in New York to more seamlessly advise major public companies and financial institutions located in the heart of the world’s financial capital. Today, the New York office comprises more than 150 lawyers who maintain a diversified practice representing corporate, industrial, financial and governmental entities from around the world in a wide range of business and legal matters.
The recognized and accomplished lawyers in our New York office routinely advise clients in antitrust, bankruptcy, real estate and litigation matters as well as in capital markets debt and equity financings, high yield/distressed trading, asset securitization, finance, corporate/securities, tax, technology and mergers and acquisitions. In privacy and cybersecurity as well as structured finance, we are consistently ranked as one of the best in the nation by leading legal guides. Our lawyers also have significant experience representing clients in energy-related matters such as domestic and international leasing and project finance, in insurance and reinsurance matters, and in complicated, multijurisdictional tax matters requiring coordination with lawyers in the firm’s other offices across the globe. Public service is part of our daily practice in Hunton Andrews Kurth’s New York office. Our lawyers and staff are committed to pro bono work and serving the communities where we live and work, whether it be by handling difficult cases for individuals seeking asylum from dangerous situations, working with incarcerated women, or serving the US Coast Guard. All of the extraordinary work we do is undertaken with the utmost care and attention. Our community service also extends to serving lunch to senior citizens on a monthly basis, working with various churches and synagogues, and raising money and accepting donations for food pantries.
