Profile

Kevin helps clients with white collar defense, government and internal investigations, regulatory enforcement, and compliance and sanctions issues. His matters frequently involve economic sanctions and Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) regulations, as well as trade control issues arising under export controls such as the Export Administration Regulations (EAR) and the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and import controls such as tariffs and other US Customs and Border Protection (CBP) regulations and non-tariff restrictions.

He also advises clients on other white collar issues relating to financial crime, anti-money laundering (AML), anti-bribery / anti-corruption and the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA), and government contracting fraud, as well as national security issues such as those arising under the Foreign Agents Registration Act (FARA). Kevin has also prosecuted and intervened in bid protests before the US Government Accountability Office (GAO) on behalf of clients with government contracts.

Kevin regularly provides compliance guidance to financial institutions and other clients related to closely scrutinized sectors such as the oil and gas industry, cannabis / marijuana industry, and fintech providers.

With a broad range of practical experience, Kevin is well-versed in electronic discovery and the collection, management, and production of electronically-stored information (ESI). He often counsels clients on issues arising from the use and production of ESI, whether when conducting internal investigations, responding to government subpoenas, or managing discovery in litigation.

Prior to beginning his legal career, Kevin served for almost six years as an infantry officer in the US Army. Kevin dedicates his pro bono efforts to providing legal services for veterans and service members and is a co-chair of the firm's veteran's committee.
