Deacons’ Financial Services team advised on ETF listings in Hong Kong, including the first equity ETF targeting premium China and ASEAN Assets

Deacons’ Financial Services team has successfully assisted CSOP Asset Management and Bosera Asset Management in listing their respective ETFs on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange. These projects were led by Financial Services Partner Pinky Siu, with support from Senior Associate Calvin Li and Associate Raymond Cheng for Bosera, and Associate Sze Yu Travis Chang for CSOP.
CSOP has launched Hong Kong's first CSI A500 Index ETF, marking a significant step in enhancing international access to Chinese financial markets. This ETF will serve as a feeder fund for the Huatai-PineBridge CSI A500 ETF, broadening opportunities for Hong Kong investors in mainland China’s dynamic sectors.
The Galaxy Bosera MSCI China ASEAN Economic Linkage Select Index ETF is the first ETF in Hong Kong dedicated to companies with strong connections to both Chinese and ASEAN markets, providing investors with new opportunities aligned with the Belt and Road Initiative.
