Buchalter Appoints Scott Johnson as Head of Information Technology

Buchalter is pleased to announce the appointment of Scott Johnson as the firm’s new Head of Information Technology. Johnson has been promoted from within the firm, where he has served in the IT Department for nearly four years as Network Manager.

Johnson’s appointment reflects Buchalter’s continued focus on operational excellence and its commitment to developing and promoting internal talent. Over the course of his tenure, Johnson has played an integral role in supporting the firm’s technology infrastructure, cybersecurity initiatives, and day to day technology needs across offices, earning a reputation as a trusted problem solver and collaborative leader.

Johnson brings more than two decades of leadership experience from the United States Marine Corps, where he currently serves as a Sergeant Major in the Marine Corps Reserves. Throughout his military career, he has led large organizations in demanding operational environments, developing a leadership approach centered on accountability, teamwork, and a mission focused mindset.

Since joining Buchalter in 2023, Johnson has played a key role in strengthening the firm’s technology infrastructure and operations. Working closely with attorneys and professional staff across the firm, he has focused on building a more responsive and resilient IT organization while supporting major initiatives across the Firm. In his new role as Director of Information Technology, Johnson is leading initiatives to modernize the firm’s technology environment and position the firm for the next generation of legal technology.
