Robert S. Cooper of Buchalter described Honeycutt as “one of the finest judges before whom I have ever appeared.”
“Some judges are lawyer-friendly, others are smart in a scholarly way, and many judges really care about getting it right,” Cooper wrote. “Judge Honeycutt combines all of these traits in one judge.”
“He is extremely respectful of counsel, and very lenient and human at all times,”Cooper continued.
Cooper added that Honeycutt’s calm demeanor should not be mistaken for weakness.
“It helps when a judge is a genuinely nice and good person,” Cooper wrote. “But I would not confuse those traits with being weak. Judge Honeycutt can pull the trigger on decisions, and he is firm in his rulings.”
