Veirano Advogado Advised the Kuwait Foreign Petroleum Exploration Company

The Veirano Advogado team advised, as local counsel, the Kuwait Foreign Petroleum Exploration Company (KUFPEC) in its agreement to acquire a 20% stake in the Orca project (formerly Gato do Mato), in the pre-salt layer of the Santos Basin, owned by Shell Brasil Petróleo Ltda. The transaction is still subject to regulatory approvals. The development plan foresees the installation of an FPSO with a capacity of up to 120,000 barrels of oil per day. The estimated recoverable resources of the Orca field are approximately 370 million barrels.
