AELEX 19th Annual Lecture - Rule of Law and Economic Development: The Nigerian Experience
We are delighted to announce that the 19th edition of the AELEX Annual Lecture will take place on Tuesday, 14 October 2025, by 2:00PM.
Since its inception, the AELEX Annual Lecture has grown into one of the most respected intellectual forums in Nigeria, serving as a platform for robust dialogue at the intersection of law, governance, economics, and society. Over the years, it has brought together distinguished thought leaders, policymakers, academics, business executives, and civil society representatives to engage in conversations that shape national and continental progress.
This year’s Lecture, themed “Rule of Law and Economic Development: The Nigerian Experience,” will provide a unique platform for robust dialogue on how strong legal and institutional frameworks can support sustainable economic growth and enhance investor confidence in Nigeria.
The 2025 edition promises to be even more impactful than previous years, as we have assembled a stellar panel of speakers and panellists alongside prestigious dignitaries who will share their insights on how the rule of law can foster development, attract investment, and promote prosperity. With the calibre of participants confirmed, this year’s Lecture is set to deliver thoughtful discourse, actionable ideas, and lasting impact.
At AELEX, we are proud of the tradition the Annual Lecture represents. For nearly two decades, it has provided a consistent platform for rigorous debate, inclusive engagement, and forward-looking solutions. The 19th Lecture will build on that legacy, reaffirming our belief that dialogue remains one of the most powerful tools for societal progress.
We warmly invite our clients, partners, colleagues, and the wider public to join us for what promises to be another landmark edition of the AELEX Annual Lecture.
