Mr. Kim began his career as an official at the Ministry of Health and Welfare and at the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety in 1981. He held various positions, such as the safety director of the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety in 2007, the director of the Seoul Regional Office of Food and Drug Safety in 2008, the director of the Gyeongin Regional Office of Food and Drug Safety in 2010, and permanent vice president of the Korea Pharmaceutical Traders Association in 2012.
