Profile
Wonderboy Frank is an Associate at ENS in the Mine and Occupational Health and Safety practice.
Wonderboy specialises in Mine Health and Safety law, as well as Occupational Health and Safety Law.
His experience includes assisting clients with inquiries conducted in terms of section 65 of the Mine Health and Safety Act, 1996, as well as investigations under section 60 of the Act. This work includes preparing mine operations and mine management for inquiries, representing clients during proceedings, drafting statements, and collating relevant documentation.
Wonderboy is also involved in significant litigation matters, including an ongoing class action in the coal mining industry concerning claims for damages arising from coal mine lung disease (pneumoconiosis), in which he assists in the representation of a former major coal mining house.
In addition, he advises clients on occupational health and safety compliance, including matters arising under the Compensation for Occupational Injuries and Diseases Act, 1993, and the Occupational Health and Safety Act, 1993, together with the regulations issued thereunder. He assists employers with the development of accident and incident reporting procedures, health and safety management systems, and regularly provides training and presentations on developments in health and safety law.
