Profile
Samantha Thomann Brand specializes in Swiss and international business immigration law. She has extensive practical experience in this field, gained in senior positions at several companies, including major accounting firms. There, she managed complex mandates, led teams, and advised both international corporations and internal stakeholders on compliance and risk management issues.
A key focus of her work is advising and supporting international companies in obtaining work and residence permits for their employees in Switzerland (corporate immigration). Additionally, she has broad experience assisting private clients, including high net worth individuals, as well as founders of start-ups. She regularly represents her clients before cantonal migration and labour market authorities and works closely with these offices throughout the application process.
Alongside her work at international consulting firms, she also ran her own practice, providing tailored solutions in immigration law to both companies and private individuals. She completed her law studies at the University of Lucerne in 2007 with a Master of Law (MLaw). She also completed training at a business school (KV). In 2012, she earned a certificate as a Business Mediator at the University of Applied Sciences Northwestern Switzerland. After graduating, she worked as a legal clerk at the Zurich Commercial Registry and the Zurich Social Insurance Institution before joining a large consulting firm in 2012.
Samantha Thomann Brand grew up bilingually in German and English and is fluent in both languages. She also has knowledge of Italian.
