Profile
Salvador is a Partner at Consortium Legal - Guatemala and has over 17 years of professional experience , specializing in the development, construction, and operation of renewable energy projects in Central America. He has led advisory services for strategic hydroelectric, solar, and wind power generation projects in the region, supporting companies through all phases, from legal and contractual structuring to operation in accordance with international standards.
In Guatemala, he participated in the development of approximately 250 MW of hydroelectric generation , considered the largest hydroelectric project in the country. In El Salvador, he advised on the implementation of 100 MW of solar generation , and he has supported acquisitions of more than 400 MW in wind and solar projects in Central America , under EPC contracts and financing governed by New York law, in coordination with local and international firms.
All these projects have been implemented under the Equator Principles , the World Bank and IFC Guidelines , ensuring financial, environmental and social compliance, as well as the long-term sustainability of operations.
In addition, Salvador has advised on the design of internal legal processes and contracts , considering operational risks, procurement processes, and organizational capabilities to achieve greater efficiency and risk mitigation. He has also collaborated on defining corporate governance structures , outlining the roles, responsibilities, and powers of the governing and administrative bodies.
