Roy L. Prange, Jr., is a retired partner who continues to volunteer for the Wisconsin State Bar, serving as chair of its Fee Arbitration Program for District 2. He practiced from our Madison office, concentrating in the areas of commercial and business litigation involving contract and other disputes frequently involving lending relationships. His practice included extensive work-out experience and lender liability defense. He also had extensive experience in the creditors rights' / bankruptcy area. Mr. Prange's experience included:

• Substantial jury trial lender liability defense experience.
• Representation of lenders in loan workouts and implementing strategies to enable continued operation of financially troubled businesses.
  
• Obtaining Wisconsin Supreme Court decision protecting rights of lenders against guarantors in foreclosure proceedings. See: Bank Mutual v Boyer, 2010 WI 74; 785 N.W.2d 462.
  
• Jury trial representation of purchaser of defective waterproofing system.
  
• Representing preference defendants in various large retail bankruptcies.
  
• Obtaining Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals decision regarding choice of law rules application in bankruptcy proceedings. See: In re Jafari, 569 F.3d 644 (7th Cir. 2009).
  
• Representation of a significant stakeholder in the Kmart and U.S. Airways bankruptcies.
