Profile
Ronald Wallenfang is a retired partner with Quarles & Brady. He practiced in the areas of building and construction as well as litigation. His practice concentrated in building and construction contracts, representing owners, architects, engineers, general contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, lenders and sureties. Mr. Wallenfang was involved with construction issues since he began with the Firm in 1969. He participated in hundreds of negotiations and litigations, including service as an AAA arbitrator since 1990. His experience included:
- Precontract consulting regarding contract options, contract terms and scope of activities.
- Negotiating and preparing construction contracts appropriate to each client's place in the contract scheme; consulting, to the extent desired by the client, regarding the effect of contract language.
- Responding to questions arising before, during or after construction regarding performance of the parties, entitlement to extra payments, responsibility for construction defects and other issues, whether we were contacted for the first time at this point or whether we had been involved from an earlier point.
- Representing client in attempting amicable resolution of issues identified.
- Participation in mediation, arbitration, litigation or other formal dispute resolution activities if informal resolution was unsuccessful.
