Ramón J. Gómez Coll is a partner in the Tax practice area of Garrigues and a member of both its Family Business and Mergers & Acquisitions teams.

He has extensive experience in advising on processes for the handover of family businesses and in the drafting of family protocols and covenants. He has coordinated multidisciplinary teams in projects relating to this area.

He has taken part in the planning and execution of processes for the sale of companies, advising on the actual transfer and, subsequently, on the structure to be adopted for the ownership of the assets received by the vendors. He has participated in due diligence reviews in relation to company transfer transactions.

He has participated in a great many asset restructuring processes geared towards accomplishing the business and family business objectives of the shareholders, analyzing their impact from the tax perspective and, in particular, on compliance with the requirements for application of the family business regime.

He provides tax advisory services on an ongoing basis to numerous companies and multinational groups. In this respect, he has participated in the analysis of the tax treatment of international financing transactions and processes for the sale of companies by nonresident shareholders.

He has participated in conferences focusing on issues affecting family businesses and tax developments.

Ramón is a member of the Aragón Association of Economists and of the Zaragoza Bar Association.
