Ožbej Merc is a senior partner and head of the transaction unit at Jadek & Pensa Law Office. He specializes in mergers and acquisitions, insolvency law, restructurings and financial law. Ožbej has been involved in most of the restructurings of large systems in Slovenia and has advised on the most demanding M&A transactions and M&A related issues (Takeovers Act, Market in Financial Instruments Act, Financial Collateral Act, Financial Operations, Insolvency Proceedings and Compulsory Dissolution Act, Banking Act and Insurance Act). He graduated from the Faculty of Law in Ljubljana in 2003, and obtained an LL.M. degree from the University of Columbia in New York in 2005. He has been an attorney-at-law since 2009, working at Jadek & Pensa throughout his career.
