Profile
Michelle Gouws is an Associate at ENS in the Project Development and Project Finance practice.
Michelle specialises in renewable energy, infrastructure and project finance and development.
Her experience includes advising on energy and infrastructure finance, drafting and reviewing finance and security documents, project documents, legal opinions, and corporate authorisations. She has worked on complex, cross-border matters involving international financing, secured and unsecured lending, refinancing transactions, and public-private partnership infrastructure financing. She has acted for many large corporate entities, IPPs and financial institutions advising on major development projects which include solar photovoltaic (PV), battery energy storage system (BESS) and infrastructure projects.
In addition, Michelle is experienced in debt finance, corporate mergers and acquisitions and complex commercial disputes and has advised clients in the mining and metals, banking and financial services, oil, gas and chemicals and infrastructure sectors.
She is also a member of the Golden Key International Honour Society.
