Profile
Michael Larson is a member of the firm's Intellectual Property Practice Group. He focuses his practice on intellectual property matters, specifically patent prosecution and litigation. He has drafted patent applications, performed prior art searches, identified potential patent inventions, copyright, and know-how material, and performed patent validity, right-to-use, and infringement analyses.
He has guided inventors on invention disclosure processes and has hosted educational sessions for research labs to understand how to protect intellectual property and how to monitor for infringements.
Prior to joining the firm, Michael worked for the Mayo Clinic, where he managed the intellectual property portfolio of a multi-billion dollar clinical practice in the Department of Radiology (MR, CT, PET/SPECT, ultrasound, nuclear medicine), and supported the Department of Radiation Oncology, Orthopedics (medical and surgical devices), an electronics lab (signal integrity, high-speed computing, and remote monitoring), the Department of Engineering, and software development areas.
