Profile

Matthieu Seydoux is a Managing Associate in the Lausanne office of Walder Wyss. He advises and represents Swiss and international clients, as well as the public sector, primarily in litigation (commercial litigation, arbitration, mediation) and in all areas of construction and real estate (property development, real estate transactions, counsel to architects and contractors, land use planning, environmental and sustainability issues, ANRA and Lex Koller, public-private partnerships, public procurement, tenancy law, etc.).

He also advises on and litigates in certain regulated markets and complex administrative procedures, particularly in the healthcare sector. In this context, he assists entrepreneurs and companies in drafting and negotiating complex commercial agreements, as well as in implementing innovative projects. Finally, he speaks at conferences, publishes in his areas of expertise and runs in-house training courses.

Matthieu Seydoux graduated from the Universities of Fribourg (BLaw) and Zurich (MLaw). He obtained a PhD in energy and competition law from the University of Fribourg (summa cum laude). He completed an LL.M. in European competition law at the Brussels Study Centre. Finally, he is a certified specialist SBA (Swiss Bar Association) in Real Estate and Construction Law.

Matthieu Seydoux advises clients in French, German and English. Member of several professional associations, he is registered with the Bar Register of the Canton of Vaud and is admitted to practice throughout Switzerland.
