Profile
Matthew Cassar is a litigator in Dykema's Detroit office and a member of the Products, Class Actions, and Professional Liability practice group.
During law school, Mr. Cassar excelled academically where he graduated cum laude and was elected by faculty to the Order of the Coif. Mr. Cassar also excelled in both written and oral advocacy as a member of the Mock Trial and Moot Court programs. Notably, Mr. Cassar advanced to the national finals in the American Bar Association's National Moot Court Competition after placing among the top ten oralists in the Washington, D.C. region.
Before joining Dykema, Mr. Cassar interned at the United States Attorney's Office for the Eastern District of Michigan as well as for a Federal Judge in the Eastern District of Michigan. Additionally, Mr. Cassar interned at a boutique criminal defense litigation firm where he briefed motions based on Constitutional protections.
