María Valdés joined the Firm's Madrid office in 2008. She is a principal associate in the Tax Department and a member of the international tax practice.

She has extensive experience providing tax advice on an ongoing basis to numerous companies-mostly multinationals from a broad range of sectors-with a special focus on Spanish investments abroad, foreign investments in Spain and nonresident taxation in general.

She also provides advice on a regular basis on the tax implications of corporate restructuring and acquisition transactions, including the analysis and implementation of investment and divestment structures.

In addition, she regularly advises in relation to tax audit proceedings as well as economic-administrative and judicial review proceedings.

She is a member of the Madrid Bar Association.
