María Muñoz is a principal associate in the Labor and Employment Law department of Garrigues's Barcelona office. She joined the firm in September 2005.

She has extensive professional experience in providing integral advice on employment law and social security to both national and multinational companies, defending their interests before the labor courts. She also has experience in hirings (special employment relationships), post-contractual non-compete covenants and exclusivity, as well as internal flexibility measures and, in particular, geographic and functional mobility and material modifications to working conditions. She advises on terminations, suspensions and reductions of working hours of a collective nature, individual layoffs, outsourcing, and the impact of mergers and acquisitions from the standpoint of employment law.

María Muñoz also speaks at seminars and courses on employment law and social security.
