Profile

Marga Soto is a principal associate in the international arbitration group forming part of the Litigation and Arbitration department.

She has extensive experience in international commercial transactions, advising clients on pre-litigation negotiation processes and on ad hoc and institutional arbitration proceedings before the most prestigious international institutions, such as the LCIA, the ICC, the AAA, the Zurich Chamber of Commerce and the Danish Institute of Arbitration, as well as on matters relating to bilateral investment agreements, providing advice to large companies, financial institutions and governments.

She is arbitrator of the Madrid Court of Arbitration and has been appointed administrative secretary on numerous occasions at arbitral tribunals governed by the rules of the LCIA, the ICC, the AAA, the CAS and the Madrid Court of Arbitration.

She is a frequent speaker at arbitration seminars and conferences. She lectures on the Master's Degree in Business Law at Universidad Autónoma de Madrid, on the postgraduate course on International Investments and Arbitration organized by Barcelona Bar Association, on the Executive Master's Degree on Legal Practice in Business at Centro de Estudios Garrigues, and on the Advanced Arbitration Course at the Madrid Court of Arbitration.

Margarita Soto is a member of the Madrid Bar Association and also belongs to the Spanish Arbitration Club, the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, the Young International Arbitration Group (London Court of Arbitration) and the Young Arbitration Forum (International Court of Arbitration of the ICC).
