Manuel Betancor is a Partner in the Maritime Law Department at Garrigues, having joined the Firm in 2008. He specializes in maritime and transport law, fishing law, corporate disputes and company restructuring. He has taken part in a host of vessel sale and purchase, construction and finance deals, shipping accidents and maritime insurance, and fishing company acquisitions, as well as the restructuring and refinancing of distressed companies. He can also boast a wealth of experience of litigation relating to maritime, insurance and company dispute-related issues.

He regularly advises on maritime, port and fishing-related matters for the leading companies operating in the industry in the Canary Islands.

He is a member of the Las Palmas Bar Association.

Manuel Betancor has been singled out for inclusion by various directories, such as The Top Legal 500 and Best Lawyers.

He is also a regular speaker at seminars and conferences staged by the Firm and an array of specialist centers.
