Mr. Kyu Chul LEE is a Managing Partner at D&A LLC. He began his legal career as a judge at the Seoul Western District Court in 1993 and subsequently served in the Administrative Division of the Seoul High Court and as a Research Judge at the Tax Division of the Supreme Court of Korea. Drawing on his extensive judicial experience, he has developed a distinguished practice handling a broad spectrum of tax-related matters.
Mr. Lee has represented major construction companies, including Samsung C&T, GS Engineering & Construction, and Dongbu Corporation, in complex matters involving cost-sharing arrangements, overhead expenses, and other construction-related disputes. He has also successfully handled high-profile cases involving embezzlement and breach of trust arising from the management of large conglomerates. Drawing on his experience as a member of the KOSDAQ Listing Eligibility Review Committee and the KOSDAQ CEO Forum, he advises on matters involving violations of the Financial Investment Services and Capital Markets Act, particularly in connection with listed companies.
In 2016, Mr. Lee was appointed as Special Prosecutor (Spokesperson) in the investigation into the state affairs manipulation scandal involving Choi Soon-sil and other private individuals during the Park Geun-hye administration. He also provides strategic counsel on corporate communications and media response.
Since 2018, he has served as Managing Partner, overseeing the firm’s operations while continuing to handle key litigation matters.
