Profile
Practicing lawyer since March 1991.
He joined Garrigues & Andersen in February 1996 and was made partner in 2005. He is in charge of the Administrative Law practice in southern Spain, comprising the Canary Islands, Extremadura and Andalucía.
Specializing in administrative law, he has experience in advising both public sector entities and companies and individuals in their dealings with the authorities.
In nonlitigious matters, he has taken part in and managed numerous projects in all branches of law involving his areas of expertise, and particularly in the areas of zoning, the environment, water, renewables, public procurement and ports.
He advises on major mining projects in the Pyrite Belt.
He has conducted numerous proceedings in the judicial review jurisdiction and has participated in cases involving matters of general administrative, economic and zoning law.
He has also defended the interests of property owners in compulsory purchase proceedings.
As part of a multidisciplinary team, he has taken part in a large number of finance and investment projects.
He also has experience in carrying out studies on the drafting of legislation.
