José Pedro Fernández-Casas is a partner in the Tax Department of Garrigues, the firm where he has pursued his professional career following a stint at the firm Lopez Cantal Asociados. He specializes in tax law, particularly in the area of tax procedures and litigation and taxation in the banking industry.

Among other fields, he has expertise in the taxation of credit cooperatives, having advised entities in this industry for over 15 years.

In the area of tax procedures and litigation, he has extensive experience in tax inspections, and has acted as legal counsel in numerous appeals in the administrative, economic-administrative and judicial review jurisdictions.

He has participated as a lecturer in various master's degree programs and seminars on tax matters organized by Universidad de Granada and by Centro de Estudios Fiscales de Granada, in addition to being a speaker in seminars and conferences promoted by the Firm and other specialist centers (Escuela Internacional de Gerencia, Escuela de Negocios de Andalucía, etc.).
