Jennifer Warner Torrez is an associate in the Chicago office of Dykema. Jennifer's practice includes representation of clients in an array of business and commercial litigation matters, including products and premises liability defense; class action defense; personal injury defense; insurance coverage litigation; construction litigation; and commercial foreclosure litigation. Jennifer's litigation experience also includes contract disputes, landlord-tenant disputes, as well as fraud and warranty actions.

Jennifer has experience in both state and federal courts at the trial and appellate level, which includes all aspects of discovery and motion practice, as well as alternative dispute resolution including mediations and arbitrations. Jennifer also has experience defending class actions in state and federal courts, including those asserting claims under BIPA, TCPA, and FACTA.

Jennifer advises clients on compliance with various consumer statutes, including the Telephone Consumer Protection Act ("TCPA") and Junk Fax Prevention Act ("JFPA"). She routinely drafts policies for compliance with these statutes, as well as reviewing existing policies for compliance.

Jennifer is an advocate for those in need. Her pro bono representation includes inmate rights litigation, Violence Against Women Act (VAWA) applications, and asylum petitions.

Prior to joining Dykema, Jennifer worked at a firm in Champaign, Illinois during law school. Jennifer graduated magna cum laude from the University of Illinois, where she served as an executive editor for the Frederick Green Moot Court competition. She also participated in the Community Preservation Clinic, helping low-income families navigate through the residential foreclosure process and serving as counsel for those individuals during foreclosure mediations.
