Profile
Javier Calatayud is a Partner in the Tax Law Department at Garrigues, having joined the Firm in September 2002 following a year and a half in the audit department at Arthur Andersen.
He is the Partner in charge of the Accounting Law practice at the Valencia office. He has taken part in numerous company and business acquisition, corporate restructuring and refinancing transactions. He provides recurring tax advisory services to family groups and multinationals, in industries such as ceramics, food, concessions and real estate.
He has spoken at a host of taxation-related courses and seminars staged by both the Firm and third parties (Fundación Universidad Empresa, Centro de Estudios Financieros, the Valencia Economists' Association, Universidad Europea de Madrid, the Valencia Bar Association, etc.).
Javier is a member of the Valencia Economists' Association and the Valencia Bar Association, and has sat on the Tax Law Committee since 2013.
He was singled out by "Best Lawyers 2014" in the Tax-Valencia category.
