Gonzalo Martín has been partner at Garrigues since 2008, firm where he has developed his entire professional career after his time as tax lawyer at Arthur Andersen. His practice areas cover a wide range of corporate and contractual matters.

Throughout his professional career, he has actively participated in the negotiation and execution of numerous transactions involving the sale and purchase of companies and real estate assets, and is unanimously regarded as a benchmark in this type of transaction in his area of influence.

He sits, as a non-director secretary, on the board of directors of several groups of companies. His dual status as a lawyer and economist, and his experience as a tax lawyer at the beginning of his career, gives him great versatility in the negotiation of complex contracts, as well as in the optimisation of the costs of company reorganisation and restructuring operations.

He also has extensive experience in all matters related to family businesses, particularly in the resolution of conflicts and issues of inheritance and real estate law, having advised on the planning, division and adjudication of complex inheritances.

Finally, he is a regular speaker at seminars and conferences at the firm and at various specialised centres, and has more than 20 years' experience as a lecturer on various postgraduate courses, including, at present, the Master's Degree in Access to the Legal Profession at CEU Cardenal Herrera.

Degree in Economics and Business Studies from the Universidad Pontificia Comillas (ICADE E-3). Economist, member of the Valencia College of Economists.
