In his commercial finance practice, Mr. Segal represents lenders and borrowers in connection with asset based loans, cash flow loans, acquisition financing, mezzanine and second lien loans, subordinated loans, real estate loans and debtor in possession financing. These financings have included single bank transactions, large syndicated credit facilities, cross border and multicurrency transactions, loan restructurings, bankruptcies, assignments for the benefit of creditors and workouts.
In his corporate practice, Mr. Segal has represented individuals, private equity and corporations with various types of mergers and acquisitions, distressed dispositions, Section 363 sales and foreclosure sales. He was also an early adopter of using Series LLCs.
Mr. Segal blends his legal acumen with his accounting, financial and business background to arrive at practical solutions for his clients. Prior to his law practice, he worked in the tax department of Ernst & Young and is a certified public accountant.
