Profile
Emma Ellman-Golan is Counsel in the firm's Litigation department where she represents clients in complex commercial litigation in state and federal courts at the trial and appellate levels. Ms. Ellman-Golan counsels clients through pre-litigation disputes and represents clients at all stages of litigation, from complaints and dispositive motions through trial and appeal. She has broad experience representing clients in high-stakes litigation in the pharmaceutical, biotech, and medical technology industries, in law firm defense matters, and in disputes concerning works of art. She also conducts internal investigations for a wide variety of clients. Ms. Ellman-Golan was recognized in the 2026 edition of Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch® in America.
Ms. Ellman-Golan also maintains an active pro bono practice focusing on voting rights and the rights of juvenile offenders eligible for parole. In 2019 and 2021, Ms. Ellman-Golan was a recipient of New York County Lawyers Association’s Pro Bono Award.
From 2017 to 2018, Ms. Ellman-Golan served as a law clerk to the Hon. Madeline Cox Arleo of the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey. Prior to attending law school, Ms. Ellman-Golan taught middle school science through Teach For America.
