Profile

Elisa Vicente Maravall is a senior associate in the international arbitration group forming part of the Litigation and Arbitration department.
She has extensive experience in international commercial transactions, advising clients on pre-litigation negotiation processes and on ad hoc and institutional arbitration proceedings before the most prestigious international institutions, such as the LCIA, the ICC, the AAA, the Zurich Chamber of Commerce and the Danish Institute of Arbitration, as well as on matters relating to bilateral investment agreements, providing advice to large companies, financial institutions and governments.
Elsewhere, she has also acquired specific experience in international construction disputes and, in particular, in FIDIC contracts, assisting her clients from the preparation of claims before the Engineer, to adjudication before DABs and, eventually, arbitration.
Elisa currently lectures on International Litigation at IE University (Bachelor of Laws, LL.B.). Moreover, she collaborates frequently with academic institutions, such as Centro Estudios Garrigues, and universities, such as Universidad Autónoma de Madrid, lecturing on international arbitration matters and Private International Law. Additionally, she arbitrates every year both in the Willem C Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot and the Moot Madrid. She has also coached the Vis Moot team from ICADE, Comillas Pontifical University of Madrid.
Elisa Vicente is a member of the Madrid Bar Association; Spanish Arbitration Club under 40 (CEA -40); LCIA Young International Arbitration Group (YIAG); Groupe ASA des Jeunes Praticiens de l'Arbitrage (ASA Below 40) and ICDR Young & International of the AAA (ICDR Y&I).

Following the latest elections held at the end of the year 2019, Elisa was elected as co-chair of the under 40 section of the Spanish Arbitration Club for the next two years.

Double Degree in Law and Business Administration, Universidad Carlos III, Madrid. Academic Excellence Scholarship, awarded by the Community of Madrid.
