Profile
Elias joined LEGA as an intern in 2012 and was promoted to junior partner in April 2021.
Over the years, Elias has been involved in mergers and acquisitions, several retail and services contracts, and business and financial planning for several companies.
In recent years, Elias has been assisting as in-house counsel to IBM subsidiary in Venezuela (IBM de Venezuela, S.C.A.). Elias has been in charge of the day-to-day legal matters of the company, including but not limited to negotiation and drafting of commercial contracts, software, cloud, and AI license agreements; handling labor, tax, and compliance matters, among other activities.
Elias also has experience in dispute resolution matters, working on the design and planning of strategies for different cases heard by ordinary courts and arbitration tribunals.
Likewise, Elias has been involved in complex real estate deals, including purchase agreements, leasing agreements (housing and commercial buildings), condominium agreements, among others.
Furthermore, Elias has recently assisted several international companies in their corporate structure, finance, and procurement for the operation and execution of gas and oil fields in different locations within Venezuela.
