Profile

Eduardo Ortega specializes in administrative and regulatory law, with extensive experience in providing legal advice on the implementation of infrastructure projects and public procurement, as well as on matters relating to the energy sector, environmental and urban planning aspects. Before joining Garrigues, Eduardo was an associate at Ferrero Abogados (now Philippi Prietocarrizosa Ferrero DU & Uri´a). In addition, he has worked in the Madrid office of Garrigues as Senior Associate in the Administrative practice (Madrid, 2018).
He currently teaches the course on "Public-Private Partnership Agreements by Service Levels" as part of the Specialist Program in Management and Supervision of Infrastructure and Public Service Contracts organized by the Institute of Regulation and Finance (FRI) of Universidad ESAN; he teaches also the course on "Essential Services provided in Networks" at Universidad de Piura; and is a guest member of the Academic Seminar on Administrative Law at Universidad de Piura - SEDA.
He is a speaker at academic and professional events (congresses, conferences, seminars and workshops) relating to his area of expertise.
He has recently been included for third consecutive year in the Chambers and Partners Latin America directory as an Associate to watch in the area of Public Law. He also has been included for second consecutive year in the Legal 500 directory as a Next generation lawyer in the area of Public Law and Regulation.
