Devyani specialises in employment law with a particular focus on both advisory and litigation work. Her experience includes drafting CCMA and Labour Court pleadings, preparing referral documents and applications, review applications and advising clients across a broad range of employment related matters.

Her experience includes advising on labour disputes litigation at both the CCMA and Labour Court, including encompassing arbitrations, reviews, and trials. Devyani has substantive experience in as well as due diligence investigations, transfers of business as a going concern, restraint of trade litigation, and drafting workplace policies, procedures, employment contracts, settlement agreements and separation agreements. She also advises on reportable irregularities and supports clients who perform regulatory and auditing-related functions.

Devyani plays an active role assists in disciplinary enquiries involving incapacity, misconduct and operational requirements. She and is involved in preparing developing comprehensive plans of action and evidence packs to guide clients through disciplinary processes, ensuring that each step is conducted in accordance with applicable legal standards and principles of fairness.

She conducts extensive research on evolving employment law issues and reviews employment contracts for executive and non-executive employees, ensuring alignment with statutory and regulatory requirements.

In addition, Devyani is also experienced in dealing with reportable irregularities and provides support to clients who perform regulatory and auditing-related functions, helping them to meet their compliance obligations.
