Daniel Kaminsky is a corporate attorney who counsels clients on complex real estate developments and commercial real estate transactions. He represents a variety of commercial real estate clients, in particular those that acquire and develop retail, office, industrial, health care and multi-family residential properties. Development

Daniel has served as primary counsel for owners and developers in connection with the development and construction of over $500 million worth of multifamily, industrial, and mixed-use developments. This includes representation related to acquisition and financing, structuring entities and private placement offerings to investors, construction and design contract negotiation, complex title work, entitlements, and tax incremental financing. Recent representative transactions include:

• Multifamily development located in Kenosha County, Wisconsin, which included a complex assemblage of approximately 30 acres of land from multiple sellers.


• Approximately 250-unit multifamily development located in Kane County, Illinois.


• Mixed-use development located in the downtown of a first-ring suburb of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, which included: an assemblage of approximately two acres of land from multiple sellers; phased demolition of prior structures; negotiations related to lease terminations for multiple commercial users, including a major financial institution; and submission of the property to the condominium form of ownership.

Acquisition and Disposition of Leased Property

Daniel regularly counsels real estate owners on the acquisition and disposition of leased-up property. His experience in this area includes having represented private real estate funds in approximately $125 million dollars of medical office building acquisitions throughout the United States, including, among others, Arizona, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Michigan, Ohio, Tennessee, and Texas.

Commercial Leasing

Daniel has significant experience representing commercial landlords and commercial tenants in lease negotiations. His representative lease transactions include:

• Landlord representation in lease negotiations with national corporations.


• Tenant representation for approximately 7,000 square feet of space in an office tower in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.


• Landlord representation in connection with an approximately 157,000 square foot mixed-use industrial/office, build-to-suit development located in a large industrial park in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.


• Landlord representation in connection with an approximately 65,000 square foot mixed-use industrial/office, build-to-suit development located in Waukesha County, Wisconsin.
