Profile
Born in Shanghai, I migrated to Australia in 2007 with a bachelor of law degree and master of philosophy degree from Fudan University.
I commenced working in MinterEllison Melbourne office in 2008, during which time I completed a Juris Doctor degree at Monash University.
With dual education and qualification background in both jurisdictions, I have naturally played an active role in MinterEllison’s China inbound transactions for over 15 years now.
I have acted for various clients in a range of general corporate work, including a number of China’s State-owned and private enterprises in takeovers, mergers and acquisitions, IPOs/ASX listings, joint ventures and project exploration and development.
My experience extends to cross-border investments and divestments in Australia and overseas. I also advise on securities laws and regulations, ASX listing requirements, contractual matters and corporations law compliance issues.
While I am naturally involved in many matters involving Chinese parties, I am an experienced transactions lawyer across the firm’s client base more broadly. I have capability across all aspects of a sale transaction, from due diligence, to competitive sales processes, to drafting and negotiation of transaction documentation. I am valued for my commercial judgment, pragmatism and project management skills.
I speak fluent English and mandarin.
