Carlos Fernando Sánchez García is a Senior Associate at the Tax Department of the Mexico City office.

Previously to join Garrigues México, he used to worke for more than four years in the Tax Litigation and Dispute Resolution area at KPMG in the Mexico City office and for more than a year in the tax inspections area of ??the Federal Tax Authority Office in México.

He has an extensive experience advising clients in the face of tax inspections and any procedure before the federal and local tax authorities.

Education

Lawyer graduated from the University of Guadalajara in México, with some specialized courses and diplomas in tax, constitutional and administrative defense at the Mexican Institute of Tax Analysis.

Carlos has written several articles, including the one published in the november 2019 edition of the spanish magazine "Moneda Única" called "News in tax matters (transfer pricing): Recent jurisprudence of the Supreme Court of Justice in Mexico", where it is explained how the mexican Supreme Court of Justice conditioned the deductions from adjustments in transfer pricing, to the formal requirement to present the informative returns of "relevant operations", estimating that the requirement it is a complementary condition and not a substitute for the existing ones for deductions in general, which safe the audit function of the tax authorities.
