Beatriz Amillo is a principal associate of the Corporate/Commercial Law practice at the Madrid office.

She has extensive experience in investment and divestment processes involving Spanish and foreign companies in a wide range of sectors and industries (telecommunications, energy, automotive, hotel and commerce, and real estate, among others). She advises both private equity firms and industry companies at each stage of these types of transaction: tax and legal design and structuring of the investment, legal due diligence reviews of target companies, drafting of sale and purchase agreements as well as all documentation to be signed by the parties in the course of the process (shareholder agreements, agreements with the management team, etc.).

She has also advised hedge funds and other distressed operators on the sale and purchase of loan portfolios (performing and non-performing, with or without collateral).

She has participated in the planning and execution of reorganization and restructuring processes at companies and groups, as well as mergers and spin-offs, and provides recurring advice on commercial contracts and corporate law. She acts as board secretary to companies operating in the IT, microfinance and retail sectors, among others.

She has taught classes in corporate/commercial and insolvency law as an associate lecturer on the Combined Master's Degree in Business Law and Access to the Legal Profession at Universidad de Navarra since 2013.
