Profile
Wim Steyn is an Executive at ENS. He specialises in Dispute Resolution.
He has assisted a variety of clients, including national and international, listed and unlisted companies, and individuals in various forums including arbitrations, mediations, the Magistrates’ Court, the High Court, the Supreme Court of Appeal and the Constitutional Court.
Wim has a broad practice which spans both civil and criminal law.
His civil law experience includes advising clients on shareholders’ disputes, irregular tenders, director liability, contractual disputes, trust law, the applicability and effect of legislation, including the National Credit Act and the Consumer Protection Act.
His criminal experience mostly relates to white-collar crimes involving fraud and corruption, although he has also assisted clients in culpable homicide, driving under the influence, and high profile murder matters.
Wim currently assists clients in respect of (i) major investigations conducted by the Special Investigating Unit, (ii) market abuse complaints (price manipulation and insider trading), (iii) the newly enacted “failure to prevent corrupt activities” offence and (iv) tender irregularities, to name a few.
