Profile

Tracy Kakongi is a Senior Associate at ENS in Uganda. She specialises in corporate and commercial law and intellectual property.

She has acted for clients in a variety of industries including banking, energy, agriculture, food and beverage, infrastructure and the health sector, including clinical trials and research and general business.

Tracy’s experience includes advising clients on M&A processes, including providing structuring advice, conducting due diligence investigations, contract drafting and negotiation, regulatory submissions, and ensuring the fulfilment of transaction conditions and implementation.

In addition, Tracy has acted for and advised local and foreign clients on legal, regulatory, transactional corporate issues, and on setting up and doing business in Uganda.

Her experience further extends to handling intellectual property law mandates including the registration of trade marks, industrial designs, patents and copyrights. Her experience includes trade mark searches, filing and prosecution of trade mark applications, trade mark maintenance, assignments, renewals, and general management of trade mark portfolios.
