Tom Vita is a paralegal for the firm's Intellectual Property (IP) Group. He has two decades of IP experience with domestic and foreign patent and trademark prosecution, including:

• the preparation and filing of utility and design patent applications


• the preparation and filing of trademark and copyright applications


• due diligence reviews and research


• patentability assessments


• freedom-to-operate assessments


• litigation filing management


• docketing and budgeting

In particular, Tom has managed large and complex biotechnology patent portfolios. He is well versed in electronic filings with the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) and the World Intellectual Property Office (WIPO), and works with foreign patent and trademark offices and foreign associates on behalf of clients.
