Profile
Thomas Dawes Vicuña is a senior associate in the firm's Santiago de Chile office, in the Corporate Law and Commercial Contracts and Mergers & Acquisitions and Corporate practice areas.
To date, he has focused professionally on commercial and corporate law matters, advising national and foreign companies from a variety of sectors in these areas.
He has recurring participation and experience in corporate transactions, acquisitions, especially related to comopanies developing energy projects, and provides regulatory advice on compliance matters, focused on the structuring and operation of the corporate governance of companies.
In the academic field, Thomas served as an assistance lecturer on the Roman Law and International Public Law courses at Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile, during the years 2010 and 2011.
Before joining Garrigues, he worked as an associate at Carey y Cía. in the Intellectual Property and New Technologies team, between 2013 and 2015 and as Visiting Legal Consultant at MinterEllison, Sydney, Australia, in 2020.
