Profile
Tania lakovenko is a senior associate in the firm's Geneva International Arbitration Group focusing on commercial and investment arbitration.
Tania has acted as counsel in complex international arbitration proceedings, including disputes arising out of construction and energy projects, as well as commercial contracts, conducted under a variety of arbitral rules (including ICC, DIAC, Swiss, LCIA, and UNCITRAL) and governed by a number of substantive and procedural laws (including those of Switzerland, England, France, Sweden, and Georgia).
In addition, Tania has experience in investment arbitration under both bilateral and multilateral investment treaties. She advises investors and states on all aspects of investment protection and dispute resolution. She is also experienced in public international law disputes.
Tania holds law degrees from Paris Nanterre University (Master's degrees in French and German business law), Potsdam University (LL.B) and ESCP Europe Business School (Specialized Master in Business law and Management). She is currently a PhD candidate in International Arbitration at Paris Nanterre University.
Before joining Walder Wyss in Geneva in 2025, Tania practiced commercial and investment treaty arbitration for six years at an international law firm in Geneva, representing, among others, states and companies in cases with amounts in dispute reaching several billion US dollars. Prior to this, she completed internships in the international arbitration teams of leading international law firms in Paris.
Tania is a native French speaker and fluent in English and German. She is admitted to the Paris Bar.
