Profile
Sonia is currently a Senior Associate in the administrative, zoning and environmental law and judicial review practice and pursues her activities in the Public Law Department of Garrigues' southern area (Andalucía and the Canary Islands), a firm where she has worked since 2012. She has exercised public law since she started her professional career.
She provides ongoing advice to individuals and private companies on contracts in the public sector, water-related matters, subsidies and public aid, liability of the state, zoning, the environment and penalty proceedings in all areas of administrative law.
She also has extensive experience in advising companies in the public sector in relation to the above matters. During the course of the legal advisory services provided to private companies and entities in the public sector, she has actively participated in issuing legal reports and in providing advice to these entities in administrative and judicial review proceedings at all instances, mainly in connection with contracts in the public sector.
She has participated in due diligence reviews of waste treatment facilities, renewable energy production and hotels, and in connection with zoning. She has also participated in due diligence reviews for the financing of works concessions and services contracts
