Shruti is a Senior Associate in the Privacy and Data team with 10 years’ data protection experience in private practice and in-house.She advises on all aspects of international data protection compliance for clients in a multitude of sectors with a focus on artificial intelligence, ad tech, health data and international transfers.During a two year secondment as Senior Privacy Counsel at a FTSE 5 company she advised the product and development teams on a wide range of goods and services.Shruti joined Shoosmiths in early 2020 from a major satellite communications company, where she created and led its global data protection compliance framework and spent time managing their Washington DC office.Shruti trained and qualified at Simmons & Simmons LLP, and holds a Practitioners’ Certificate in Privacy from PDP.
